Hoang Hoa Tham Bridge opened to traffic

Hoang Hoa Tham Bridge crossing the Nhieu Loc – Thi Nghe Canal was opened to traffic on Wednesday, linking District 1 and Binh Thanh District.
The bridge, whose construction began in 1998 with the initial capital of VND19 billion, has seen repeated delays and changes of project owners, while the building cost finally climbed to VND155 billion. The 103-meter bridge took the longest time for completion, up to 12 years, due to time-consuming site clearance and technology changes.
